Woman hacks lover to death with sword

Hyderabad, Jan 12 A 21-year-old woman allegedly hacked a man, believed to be her lover, to death with a sword in Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district. The brutal murder took place on a busy road between Kapavaram and Dharmavaram villages in Kovvur zone of the West Godavari district on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Tataji Naidu, a resident of Thadepalligudem. Pavani, a resident of Malakapalli village, allegedly attacked Tanaji with a sword while he driving a bike in the West Godavari district. She hacked him to death with the sword and remained at the spot. After this, she surrendered in front of the police. According to police, Pavani was found holding a sword in public and talking on the phone. She allegedly killed him as she was fed up of "harassment" by the victim, police said. "Both the accused and the victim were in a relationship since intermediate school days. Recently, the man started to ignore the woman and was also not willing to marry her. He was also harassing the woman for money. Fed up with all this, the woman killed him," West Godavari SP K Narayan Naik said.
