Thane, Jan 12 Awoman helped the Mumbai Police to catch three robbers who attacked her father while attempting a robbery at her house in Dombivali of Thane district in Maharashtra. As the three accused were arrested, it was revealed that the robbery was planned by the woman's neighbour. Three robbers had attacked 61-year-old Ashok Gori, a retired bank employee, when he was alone at his house on Friday. While the robbers were still at home, Ashok Gori's 20- year-old daughter, Pratiksha, reached home only to find her father's hands tied and mouth covered. The robbers attacked Pratiksha as well and tried to tie her, but she managed to raise an alarm, following which her neighbours came to help. While the robbers tried to escape, Pratiksha managed to snatch the mobile phone from one of the accused. Based on the phone recovered from the accused and CCTV footage in the building, officials from Dombivali's Vishnu Nagar police station nabbed the three accused -- identified as Chetan Makwana, Abdul Sheikh and Chandrika -- within 24 hours. After the arrest, it came to light that the robbery was planned by one of Gori's neighbour who lives a floor above him.
