Death of Writer, Singer Ram Pal Sharma condoled

Y B News Jammu, Jan 11 A condolence meeting was held today in the office of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu to condole the demise of Ram Pal Sharma, a renowned Dogri language writer and singer from Sunderbani (Distt. Rajaouri, J&K). Sh. Ram Pal Sharma left for his heavenly abode on 8th January, 2021 after suffering from illness. He was sixty six years old. He has contributed a lot in Dogri language and literate. Sh. Ram Pal Sharma had been an Approved Singer of Radio and Doordarshan. He started writing and singing from his ealy age. He had been associated with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for nore than 30 years. He had been an Associate Member of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu since 2010. In a communication OP Sharma, Director JKCCA said the meeting was attended by Master Jaswant Singh, Ravi Kumar, Sahil Bharswaj, Kanwal Nain Bhan, Ashok Mehra, Kamla Devi, Anita Sharma and Anil Saraf. The meeting was presided over by Sh. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA. The contribution of Ram Pal Sharma in Dogri literature was highlighted in the meeting.
