ARTICLE 35-A ENCOURAGED ALIENATION SAYS VIBODH

Rajouri, Nov 26 After the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A from the erstwhile state, the people of Rajouri and Poonch districts have been immensely benefited a lot as the provision of reservation to STs was extended while the refugees putting up in these districts and elsewhere in J&K have also gained after repealing these laws since they received cash relief and other assistance. This was stated by BJP General Secretary Vibodh Gupta while addressing a addressing after filing of nomination of Party’s candidate Asif Choudhury in Dhoongi in presence of Priya Sethi, former minister and Talib Hussain. Vibodh Gupta emphasized that the abrogation of Article 35-A was in the interest and welfare of the people of Jammu. “Article 35-A encouraged alienation, deepened the concept of a separate identity and created a political gap between the State and the rest of India,” he maintained. The senior BJP leader said that he felt hurt to see nationalistic people of Jammu not getting their due share because such laws where there in the State. Highlighting various schemes and projects of central government, MLC said that in last five years Rajouri- Poonch has moved towards development and prosperity in every field of life.
