“Doctors perform extensively during COVID-19”: Dr Sudan

Dr: It is not only doctors but all the health professionals medical/paramedical and even nurses, the whole team has been performing extensively without leaving any stone unturned as per protocol. Q. When will second MRI machine install? Dr: In Jammu province there is only one MRI machine. People from remote areas have to wait for 2-3 months for MRI. The machine has been brought. We have given the directions of installation and commissioning. We are in the process of installing that machine. There will be one more machine that will work in super-speciality. The healthcare infrastructure is running on the fast pace. Necessities are also increasing but on that note our preparations are also increasing. There will be certain boost in the machines which is going to reduce the problems of people. Q. What is your view on HoD performing private practice? Dr: The private practice has been banned by the government. HoDs are not allowed to do the private practice. Doctors are round the clock on the rotational duty. In fact our OPDs are closed and we are giving services via appointments. Nowadays every consultation is done easily on digital podium. Keeping in view social distancing, doctors are giving online consultation to patients. Q. Why has biometric face recognition method of attendance not installed for senior doctors? Dr: Most of the patients complain about the absence of senior doctors so the biometric face attendance isn’t installed yet. Such problems are on the verge of solution. We are already procuring the machines. To say that the doctors are absent will be completely wrong to say. Pandemic has been adequately handled by our Jammu region. We have overcome several COVID challenges owing to the support of our doctors. So criticizing them this will be unethical.
