‘RCB opener Padikkal has an imposing style similar to Hayden’

New Delhi, Oct 23 Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Chris Morris heaped rich praise on Devdutt Padikkal, saying the young opener has been one of the most impressive cricketers at IPL 2020. Morris likened Padikkal's approach to that of Matthew Hayden. Chris Morris pointed out that despite not having an imposing figure like Matthew Hayden, Devdutt Padikkal like to dominate the bowlers early and hits the cricket ball much like the Australian legend. When RCB gave him the opportunity to open alongside Aaron Finch at IPL 2020, the 20- year-old left-hander grabbed it with both hands and made an instant impression.
