Sanjay recalls Tendulkar's yellow Walkman: You were as attached to them as your bat

New Delhi, July 15 Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar finally had the time to reply on Sachin Tendulkar's tweet, wishing him on his birthday which was on July 12. Tendulkar had wished Manjrekar on Twitter along with a picture of the two from the early 1990s. "Many many happy returns of the day, Sanjay! Wish you good health and happiness always!" Tendulkar captioned the post. Manjrekar apologised to Tendulkar for replying late but also noticed something rare in the picture - the Master Blaster's yellow Walkman. Manjrekar reminded Tendulkar of how much he loved his yellow headphones, which he was always spotted wearing during his early career. "Thank you very much Sachin. So sorry for the late reply. Remember the yellow ‘Walkman’ headphones in the pic. You were as attached to them as you were to your bat," Manjrekar replied on Tendulkar's tweet. Tendulkar was presented with the yellow Sony Walkman on his 17th birthday during the tour to Sharjah in 1990. Former teammate Ajay Jadeja had once spoken about Tendulkar's Walkman and how he took care of the device for years. Jadeja had replaced an injured Atul Wassan in the Indian team on that tour. “That (1990 Sharjah) tour had his birthday as well. He was presented a yellow Sony Walkman.
