3 MLAs have deserted Pilot, more to follow: Gehlot

New Delhi, July 15 Congress party workers loyal to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot told India Today TV that three more MLAs have left Sachin Pilot. Those part of the 'Gehlot camp' said that the MLAs are on their way to the Fairmount hotel in Jaipur and will reach by Thursday, adding that more legislators are likely to follow. At present, MLAs who sided with former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot are putting up at the ITC Grand hotel in Haryana's Manesar. Earlier on Wednesday, the Congress party made a final attempt to convince Pilot to return to the fold. Sources even said that former party president Rahul Gandhi asked Congress workers to give Sachin Pilot the message that doors are always open for him. The Congress leadership also pulled up Ashok Gehlot for making personal remarks against Pilot. Gehlot is reported to have given his approval to the Congress party to ensure Pilot's return if he chooses to do so. Congress National spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala told reporters that the BJP's attempts to topple the government in Rajasthan have failed. Sachin Pilot has always been encouraged and given key roles and responsibilities by the Congress, Surjewala added. Sachin Pilot also broke his silence on July 15 and said that he does not intend to join the BJP. The MLA from Tonk who was removed from his post as Rajasthan's Deputy CM and the chief of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, Pilot also said to media outlets that attempts were being made to malign his image in the eyes of the Congress leadership
