JKNPP submits representation to Prez demanding statehood for J&K

Jammu, July 7 Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, J&K National Panthers Party & Executive Chairman, State Legal Aid Committee, J&K has dispatched a representation to the President of India, Ramnath Kovind urging him for his urgent intervention to restore the statehood status of J&K as well as the Permanent Residential status of all the permanent residents in J&K which was the position of J&K when Constitution of India was promulgated on January 26, 1950. The Panthers Party shall convene a meeting of the representatives of all the recognized political parties both national and regional from both sides of J&K where we (all the political parties from both sides of J&K), shall have an opportunity to represent this case to save the constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir and the constitutional rights guaranteed to its Permanent Residents under the Constitution as well as Constituent Assembly at the time of framing the Constitution of India. The Panthers Party has set up a Special Committee in this regard. The Committee shall take up this matter with the President of India and also convene a meeting of the representatives of recognized political parties from both sides of Jammu & Kashmir including that of PoK, Gilgit- Baltistan. The Panthers Party urges the President of India for his immediate intervention to direct the Union of India and its Prime Minister to restore the statehood of J&K at the earliest. Besides the constitutional rights of the Permanent Residents of J&K should also be restored as they existed before August 5, 2019.”
