Jammu, July 3 Former State President BJP Sat Sharma (CA) and Former MLC Vikram Randhawa along with District President Jammu West Munish Khajuria handed over 800 Sanitizers and 1000 Face covers to District team and Morcha Presidents for distribution amongst general public. The leaders were also accompanied by District General Secretary Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Karan Sharma, Mandal Presidents Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra, District Vice President Shree Kerni and District Treasurer Neeraj Gupta. Speaking on the occasion Sat Sharma said that our fight against COVID-19 has not ended yet so it is utmost important to keep and maintain personal hygiene so that we can keep ourselves out from various risks of contamination. He said our team has been working on ground since lockdown started and till date we have provided relief to more than 30000 families residing in various areas of Jammu West. He also stated that as desired and appealed by our hardworking PM Narendra Modi, we must focus on becoming Aatm Nirbhar (self reliant) as there is no evidence that how long this pandemic will exist and our Prime focus and responsibility must be on boosting Indian economy by being 'Vocal for Local'. He also thanked the J&K Branch of Chartered Accountants and their team for providing masks and sanitizers to BJP Jammu West team for distribution amongst the public. Vikram Randhawa said that we all need to wash our hands frequently and must use alcohol based sanitizers and must see to it that we do not touch our hands on face which increases the probability of transferring virus. He stated that global leaders from around the world have adopted “Namaste” instead of shaking hands and we must also do the same to halt the impact of any kind of virus from one person to another. Munish stated that we all have to come together in this cause and see to it that every person takes proper precautions and most importantly physical contact from each other must be avoided. He also stated that booth wise programs have been made to distribute masks and sanitizers in coming days.
