Many major Budgam roads in shambless: Er Nazir Yatoo

YB News Srinagar, June 1 Senior People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Ex VC JK Cements, Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo on Monday said that majority of the roads in central Kashmir's Budgam district are in shambles. In a statement issued here, PDP leader, Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo said that the bad roads in Gogjipather, Nilnag, Branwar, Kralpora, Sogam, and Badipora have created a dent in the fame of residents of these villages, despite have a good-literacy. Although a stretch of Badipora to Chadoora road was blacktopped years ago, the major part of is still in a shambles, Yatoo said. Yatoo said that several delegations from these villages have called him over phone and expressed their anger against the concerned departments. He added that Nilnag road is in pathetic condition and it takes tourist passenger drivers hours to reach their destination. "Locals apprised R&B department about the bad condition of these roads but they did nothing," he said. Similar is the condition of other roads in the district which according to Yatoo have not been repaired for the decades now. "The roads in these villages have turned into a lane on which a single vehicles hardly pass now," Yatoo said. Yatoo has appealed LG led administration to repair potholes at least, if black topping has to wait.
