AJKYF shows concern over online teaching

Jammu, June 1 All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF), Chief IT, Cell, Er. Gourav Salotra shows concren over the lockdown mode of online education in a press statement issued here today. Er. Gourav while issuing press statement said that online teaching during this national vide lockdown is inaccessible for J&K students as well as for the teachers. Uploading lecture, download it and attending online lectures is a hardjob while accessing online source of education in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Firstly, it is difficult for the teachers to upload lecture on a particular link or educating students though video conferencing and secondly, students have to suffers alot due to network issues for joing online classes or downloading lectures because of snappiny of 4G internet services in J&K UT. Besides this, still there are number of students in the J&K who belongs to the weaker section of the society and are unable to purchase smart phone which results into no online teaching to them during this lockdown, even on the sudden announcement of nation vide lockdown students studying outside their native place were unable to carry their books along with them in hurry. Er. Gourav further express that holding examination after end of this nation vide lockdown will make students suffer alot, most of students were unable to attend online education sessions on the one hand and many Institute fails to provide online classes on the other hand. Supplying study material in the form of PDF or Word and relying exams on this process of education proves the saying of "Examinations are not about intelligence". Chief, IT Cell, AJKYF urged upon all the school and colleges educational departments to review their notifications for holding exams during this global pandemic and also urged upon the UT and Central Administration to restore 4G internet services helping students in their education line.
