Former legislator Rajesh calls on Lt Governor, submits memo

Jammu, Feb 13 Former MLA Jammu East and Chief Whip of the BJP presented a memorandum to his the Lt. Governor of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. The memorandum among other things raised the issues of the tenants of the evacuee properties, who have been facing great difficulties due to the apathetic attitude of the government for the last 70 years. In the memorandum Rajesh Gupta sought ownership rights for the evacuee property tenants. Rajesh Gupta demanded in the memorandum that the Mini Stadium Parade be named after Sher-i-Duggar, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Ji, who himself was a great Football player and the naming of the stadium after the great son of the soil stands already approved in the assembly. Housing and Urban Development Department was asked to hasten the parking project of Panjtirthi, Peer Kho. Subzi Mandi Market needs to be developed like Pallika Bazaar. Tawi River Bank has to be developed on the lines of Sabarmati Project. An auditorium for the entertainment of the people needs to come up at Peer Kho. In order to get rid of the traffic congestion on the Jammu roads more fly overs need to be constructed like Flyover from Manipur to Ambphalla and Flyover from Narwal Chowk to Kunjwani Chowk. Rajesh Gupta demanded that the Cable Car Project from Peer Kho to Mahamaya Temple should be started before Mahashivratri Mela at Peer Kho. The project of Raghunath Temple should be taken up on the lines of Golden Temple. The memorandum also asked the CAPD department to streamline the formation of new Ration Cards and also take up the requests for bifurcation. The memorabdum demanded from the Social Welfare Department that the large pendency of Old Age and Widow Pensions be cleared as early as possible. The PDD department has been asked to provide amnesty to all domestic, commercial, industrial and Hotels and streamline the revenue collection. Rajesh Gupta demanded that there is a need to dig tube wells to meet out the water crisis in Jammu east.
