Jammu University celebrates Republic Day

Jammu, Jan 27 The 71st Republic Day of India was celebrated at the University of Jammu with great enthusiasm & patriotic fervour, it was attended by a huge gathering of teaching faculty, officers, staff and students of the University of Jammu. Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu unfurled the National Flag and released the Tri- Colour Balloons in presence of Prof. Rajni Dhingra, Registrar, Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Research Studies, Prof. Rajni Kant, Controller Examinations, Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Director College Development, Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee and other faculty and staff of the University. Prof. Dhar, while greeting the University fraternity, highlighted different areas on which we shall feel proud to be a part of this great Nation and also pointed the areas of concern which we shall collectively overcome which included Skill Development, Good Health, Pollution/Plasticfree, Clean and Healthy Environment. Earlier Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, delivered the welcome address and greeted the august gathering on the auspicious occasion. At the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Guard of Honour was presented by the Jammu University Security Guards led by Capt. S.R. Dubey, Chief Security Officer. Cultural Items including songs, dance and poems were presented by Manmeet Kaur, Keshav Veer Sharma, Chinmaya Pandita, Medhansh Sharma.
