DC Samba finalizes Republic Day arrangements

Y B News Samba Jan 20 District Development Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of district officers to chalk out the final arrangements for peaceful and colourful celebrations of the forthcoming Republic Day on 26th January 2020. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Shakti Pathak, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Kulbhushan Khajuria, District Informatics Officer Sanjeev Kapoor, District panchayat officer, Chief Education Officer samba, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers PWD (R&B), PHE and PDD Division Samba, besides other District and Sector Officers were also present in the meeting. It was informed in the meeting, that the main function will be organized in the Sports Stadium Samba where VVIP will unfurl the Tricolour and take the salute of the March past contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, FPF, NCC and school children at 09:55 Hours, besides a colourful cultural programme representing ethos of our state and district shall also be presented by the school children. For the general supervision of the necessary arrangements, various Committees including screening committee for cultural items, parade squads committee, venue management committee, hospitality and protocol committee, prize selection committee were constituted under the overall supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba inclusive of officers from Police, Army, PWD and other Departments. Various other necessary arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which included detailed security plan, drinking water facility at the venue, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, traffic management, power supply etc. DC directed the concerned officers to ensure better coordination for making effective arrangements pertaining to their departments for making National function a grand success.
