Y B News Rajouri, Jan 20 Indian Army is undertaking various welfare measures to help the people who are in dire need of assistance. To ameliorate the problems of the people and their live stocks, Indian Army organized a Medical cum Veterinary Camp at village Kha of Rajouri District. This camp was primarily organized keeping in view the large number of local Awam, animals and cattle present in the area and paucity of veterinary medical facilities to support them. A team of Army doctors and civil doctors from Health and Veterinary Department, Kalakot and Regimental Medical Officer of the Army attended to the patients in the camp. A total of 364 patients including men, women, and children were provided free medical check-up and treatment. As part of the camp, Army and Civil Veterinary Doctors and Pharmacists treated a total of 1007 animals to include sheep, goats, cows, buffaloes, mules, dogs and horses. In addition, Veterinary doctors also explained various tips and measures to the villagers to keep their live stocks healthy. The local populace in the remote village Kha and the nearby villages were benefited by the medical and veterinary camp. The continuous and relentless effort of Indian Army towards the conduct of such camps will help in establishing a good rapport between the Army and the Awaam.
