Y B News Jammu, Jan 20 RK Kalsotra, State President of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, condemned the statement given by VK Saraswat, member of NITI AAYOG. Kalsotra said that Saraswat made a highly vulgar remark while justifying the internet ban in the erstwhile state of J&K. He justified the ban by saying that people of J&K use internet for watching dirty films. When a person at such a post makes remarks like these, it is shameful on part of organisations like NITI AAYOG which are think tanks of government for policy making. Kalsotra said that without taking into consideration the ills of internet ban which include shut down of online businesses, online transaction of money, payments, use for educational purposes, medical services, and many others, these officials try to justify the ban by highly vague, irrational and vulgar statements. Previously as well, after the abrogation of Article 370, few ministers and MLA's of particular party made fluke and vulgar comments regarding marrying Kashmiri girls. Statements like these, when remarked by officials of government, bring the government in the bad light. Kalsotra said that such statements show the mindset of such people and they should be removed as soon as possible for making such statements. Kalsotra urged to GC Murmu, Lieutenant Governor J&K to look into the matter and issue a code of conduct to these officials so that they do not try to disturb the calm of the UT by making such irresponsible and undemocratic statements.
