Induction prog under employment, skill enhancement commences

Jammu, Jan 20 One week Induction Programme under ‘Employment and Skill Enhancement scheme’ organized by the Higher Education Department (Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir) commenced at Govt. PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The programme is being organized by the Department of Higher Education in collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation. GCET (Govt. College for Engineering and Technology) is designated as Nodal Office in this programme. Dr. Anita Brar, Nodal Officer of the programme and Ajay Kapoor, state coordinator, “Art of Living” were present at the inaugural occasion. The programme began with the registration of students and introductory lecture by Prof. Aekta Gupta, Co-ordinator of the Organizing Committee. Other members of the organizing committee are Prof. Seema Arora, Dr. Nidhi Suri, Dr. Varun Sharma, Dr. Nidhi Choudhary and Prof. Jasneet Kour. On each day, the programme consists of four sessions. On the first day i.e. 20.01.2020, the students were engaged in the morning session by Kausar Razvi and Akshita Sharma from the team of “Art of Living”. They focused on breath, breathing pattern and its relation with mind. In the afternoon session, Prof. Amita Gupta, Gynecology, Department, SMGS talked about personal hygiene and its significance for women.
