Comma: Samson's simple tweet suggests game on despite puzzling omission

New Delhi, Jan 17 Sanju Samson has every right to be frustrated. The young wicketkeeper-batsman from Kerala has been at the receiving end of some perplexing decisions by the Indian selectors in recent months. After MS Dhoni decided to go on a sabbatical following India's World Cup disappointment in July, India have handed the wicketkeeping gloves to Rishabh Pant in the shorter formats. However, Pant has been far from impressive and his wicketkeeping skills obviously leave much to be desired. Sanju Samson, considered to be among the most talented wicketkeeper-batsman in the country, was dropped from the series against West Indies. He made it back to the squad for the 3-T20I series against Sri Lanka at home and played the last match - his first in 5 years. Overall, Sanju Samson has played only 2 T20Is despite making his debut in 2015. Rishabh Pant, meanwhile, has played 11 Tests, 16 ODIs and 28 T20 Internationals since his debut in 2017. Indian cricketers have resorted to selection heartbreak with cryptic tweets in recent times. Last year, Ambati Rayudu responded to his sacking with a 3D glasses tweet and now Sanju Samson has chosen to express himself with a comma!
