J&K Bank establishes refreshment counter at Dastgeer Sahib shrine

Srinagar, Dec 9 J&K Bank established a refreshment counter to serve the devotees during the ongoing Urs celebrated at the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) famously known as Dastgeer Sahib here in Khanyar. The bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (Central-I) Syed Rais Maqbool today visited the shrine and took stock of the arrangements put in place by the bank for the occasion. Head Business Unit Khanyar and other staff members of the bank accompanied the Zonal Head on his visit to the shrine. “The quintessential teaching of our great saints like Shiekh AdbulQadir Jeelani (RA) is to work for the betterment and welfare of the society. In line with the same, the bank established a counter to provide refreshments for devotees who come to pay obeisance at the revered shrine,” the Zonal Head said while reviewing the arrangements. Extending the warm wishes and the message of the Chairman and Managing Director to the devotees, he said “Being a people’s institution, the bank’s obligation goes beyond commercial considerations and keeping alive the traditional heritage of this place”
