New Delhi, Oct 8 India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons as his cheeky birthday wish for former fast bowling great Zaheer Khan on Monday didn't go down too well with cricket fans. Wishes poured in from the entire cricketing fraternity on social media for Zaheer Khan, who turned 41 on Monday (October 7), but it was Pandya's tweet which got caught in the eye of the storm. "Happy birthday Zak ... Hope you smash it out of the park like I did here," Pandya tweeted along with a video of him smashing Zaheer for a six in a domestic match. But Pandya immediately faced backlash from cricket fans who found his post disrespectful towards his former Mumbai Indians teammate, who picked 610 international wickets across all three formats for India. Pandya is currently on a break from international cricket due to an acute lower-back injury for which he underwent a successful surgery in London. "Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. Will be back in no time! Till then miss me," Hardik posted a message with a picture on his Instagram account on October 5. Pandya is expected to be out of action for five months. He played the T20I series against South Africa.
