CCC Kishtwar, Brothers Eleven Ramban register wins in 15th Gufran C'Ship 2019

BY ABID PAMPORI Doda, June 14 Cue Cricket Club (CCC) Kishtwar and Brothers Eleven Ramban team registered win against their opponents in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium Doda. The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank Ltd, Zum Zum Sweets (Kud Wale), Mumtaz Building Material Doda, Hotel Doda Darbar, Green Model Hr Sec School Doda, Shaheen Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Chenab Valley Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Natnoo Furnishing House and with the active support of District Administration and District Police Doda. In first match, Cue Cricket Club Kishtwar defeated Katoch Cricket Club Doda by 10 wickets. Batting first, KCC Doda set a low target as whole team was bundled out for just 58 runs in 10.3 overs wherein Jaffar Amin scored 12 runs followed by 10 runs scored by Haroon Rashid. From the bowling side, Arif Malik grabbed 03 wickets while Mehmood ur Rehman and Sadam Wani shared 02 wickets each. In reply, CCC Kishtwar with the good start from the opening pair finished the match in just 5.1 overs for no loss, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Nasir Sheikh scored the highest with 31 runs while Dawood Abrar contributed 29 runs for the team. Later on, Arif Malik was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance. In second match, Brothers Eleven Ramban defeated Kings Eleven Bhalla by 05 wickets. Batting first, Kings Eleven Bhalla set a target of 130 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Zia Khalil scored 32 runs while Mudassir Butt scored 31 runs. From bowling side, Sadam Naik took 02 wickets while Jahangir Ahmed, Ravinder, Akhil and Arif shared 01 wicket each. In reply, Brothers Eleven Ramban team managed to get the target in 12 overs for the loss of 05 wickets, thus won the natch by 05 wickets. Akhil Rajput was the highest scorer who scored 28 runs while Rizwan and Ravinder Singh contributed 20 and 20 runs respectively. From bowling side, Zia Khalil took 03 wickets while Mudassir Butt and Adil Parray shared 01 wicket each. Later on, Akhil Rajput was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by President Chenab Valley Journalists Association Naseer Ahmed Khora. The matches were officiated by Yasir Dar, Harish Raza, Yousuf Raza, Ashok Sharma and Sandeep Kaushik.
