JKOA confers sports excellence award

Jammu, June 11 The Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA) today conferred with Late S. Rangil Singh award for sports excellence for the year 2017-18. In the year 2016-17 16 sportspersons were honoured from different disciplines. The Award was instituted in the year 2016 which will be a regular feature of J&K Olympic Association in addition to the other sports activities for the promotion and development of Sports in the State. The award carries Cash Award of Rs. 21 thousands and 15 thousands besides Memento and Certificate respectively. Those conferred with award include Sahil Sharma - NIS Wrestling Coach, Anil Wadhera - NIS Boxing Coach, Randhir Singh popularly known as Rajan -- Cricket Coach, Sohan Singh - Sr. NIS Athletic Coach, Shotu Lot- State Fencing Coach, Krupali Singh - Gymnastic Coach, Riya Bakshi- Fencer, Shreya Gupta - Fencer, Amardeep Singh - Footballer, Nirmal Kumar - Mountaineering, Shiyani Charak- Mountaineering, Meenal Gupta - Chess, Hiteshwar Singh - Roll Ball/Roller Skating, BlIal Ahmed Dar - Cyclists, Palak Kour - Gymnastic, Sahil Dev Singh - KHO-KHO, Mohd. Tariq - Sports promoter in general, Satish Gupta - Table Tennis
