Sarpanch pays surprise visit to Govt. Middle School Punyalla

ABID PAMPORI Doda, May 19 Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Gadhater B, Geeta Devi, today paid a surprise visit to Government Middle School, Punyalla, at 12 noon yesterday and found only one teacher present while the other staff of the school was absent. The condition of the kitchen was shabby enough where the mid-day meal is cooked and served among the students. She said that the students are forced to sit on the desks having a lot of dust on them as the peon or sweeper appointed for cleaning purpose are just drawing salaries without any work. There are 120 students in this school and their future seems to be at stake if strict action was not taken against the staff members, she added. On enquiring about the mid-day meal the Sarpanch was informed by the children that it is served only twice in a week and that too of very poor quality. The Sarpanch has requested to DDC Doda and CEO Doda to intervene to save the future of young buds and initiate appropriate necessary action against the erring staff members.
