Fraud in crores has surfaced in Mulchater, Sigdi village in Kishtwar wherein the locals have complained about Job Card scandal worth crore of rupees.
As per details available RDD Officials said officially that thousand job cards have been issued under MGNREGA in Kishtwar. In the Mulchater area many people are working in various govt departments and do not fall under ambit of MGNREGA. Majority of fake card holders are getting the benefit of govt scheme.
When the Job Card Scandal surfaced in Kishtwar, the authorities came into action. Asst Development Commissioner Kishtwar issued order of verification in all the 8 blocks of Kishtwar district. But as per reports the verification was just an eye wash and very few job cards were cancelled. Meanwhile people are demanding action against the corrupt officials as the poor are still suffering due to this fraud.
