Need of SHGs to endorse Sericulture sector in J&K

In J&K, sericulture sector with its remarkable importance is required to give momentum by taking appropriate steps for expanding the sericulture activities in the remote and rural areas of the state, as the state has a very favourable environment for expansion of Sericulture Sector.
Besides that there is issue of filling up of vacant posts of different categories in the department, as state government didn’t show any seriousness toward the vacant post which should be filled by appointing more people, as it would provide manpower to the sector as well as job to the capable unemployed youth.
Thus, it is for State Government to take up the issue with the recruiting agencies for early selection of candidates for posts already referred to them.
Notably, the circumstances says there is need for forming Self Help Groups (SHG) at district level for giving impetus to sericulture activities, as it will help in promoting Sericulture Sector in the State.
However, the Sericulture Development Department should modernized the technique and provide help to the people involved in these activities. Fact of favorable atmosphere for Sericulture sector demands appropriate steps, while principally, women from countryside areas need to be involved in Sericulture activities which would help in sericulture production and revolutionize their economic profile.
Pertinently, mulberry agriculture could be proved major momentum for economic growth by plantation of mulberry tree on waste state land and river bunds, and moreover the field staff of the department should be imparted necessary training and in coordination with Agro Industries possibilities
