Sarwal Govt hospital to give free surgery for knee patients: Dr Nipun

Dr Nipun, an orthopedic surgeon in Sarwal Hospital apprises about “Arthoscopy” introduced in the Sarwal Govt Hospital. While interacting with Youngbites correspondent he said that the joint problems are common in all age groups but it is more prevalent among old people.
He says, “children sometimes develop the joint problems due to improper diet. They eat junk food but they do not take the necessary nutrients in a balanced way. As a result they start developing joint pains. In the youngsters sports injuries are the main reason of joint pains. As far as old people are concerned the joint pains become very common with aging”.
“Sarwal Hospital has introduced ‘Arthoscopy’. This technique is very useful for the youngsters who have injuries due to sports activities. For the old people, this technique helps them recover very fast. This technique is a minimal invasion technique of surgery, just like laproscopy. Here joints are not fully opened, but with small invasion the surgery can be done. The patients after surgery recover very fast”, he says.
Dr Nipun said, “Using Arthoscopy, the problems can be diagnosed and many times the patients knee surgery can be postponed for a large period of time. I request people at large who are facing problems due to pain in joints to come and get diagnosed in Sarwal Hospital and if they need surgery then we will provide them free of cost surgery”.
