In order to control the mushrooming growth of the private coaching centres and the centres, which are running their business without their complete registration process, the state government has finally decided to tighten noose around such coaching centres.
“The Directorate of School Education reiterated its earlier direction that no coaching centre will be allowed to function without having a valid registration,” informed a top government official.
“The Directorate has advised all the students and parents to confirm in advance that the coaching centre, where they intend to avail the benefit of coaching, is having a valid registration or not,” the officials informed.
The officials further informed that the Directorate had granted registration to various Private coaching centres on the basis of reports submitted by District Level Inspection Committees. However, the said registration has a validity of one year only which means that the registration in most of the cases has expired or their registration is about to expire. In view of this fact, all the Private Coaching Centers functioning are hereby directed to complete the formalities including registration renewal/registration (in case of fresh cases) so that there is no difficulty in conditioning their affairs.
Pertinent to mention here that the Directorate of School Education earlier in an order issued had asked for the fresh registration/ renewal of private coaching centres operating in the various parts of the state, but nothing has been done by those coaching centres, and they continue to run their business without any hitch.
“Interested parties have to submit their applications either for fresh registration or renewal, as the case may be, up to September 10, 2018, on the given format available at the Directorate's website www.dse.nic.in,” DSE notification reads.
“To get registrations or renewals done, DSE has asked the private coaching centres to publish class-wise/ subject-wise fee structure in a leading newspaper of the state, an official statement said.
Besides, publishing of details of the faculty members to be hired by the coaching/tuition centre including their Aadhaar based biometric details. While as reservation of 10% in-take quota for BPL /Orphan/ destitute students to be selected by the Directorate has also been made mandatory.
“Though, this is very good step that has been taken by the government and after the implementation of this step the mushrooming growth of the coaching centres, should be controlled to some extent and the registered coaching centres will have to provide better education to the students enrolled in those centres,” said Mahohar Lal, a retired government official.
