Kishtwar Exclusive Kishtwar Bandh: PDP, PPU, CHPPWU, DLU protest against AFCON

Peoples Democratic Party called for Bandh in Kishtwar town against the power project policies. Peoples Democratic Party with support of Peoples Party United, Mazdoor Union, Workers Union held a strong protest against the district administration, and the construction agencies for not entertaining the local unemployed skilled and unskilled youth for jobs in the 1000 MW Pakal-Dool Power project which was recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As per the details available with Young bites, the angry parties and unions assembled near Dak Banglow Kishtwar, Shaheedi Road, and Hidyal Chowk in Kishtwar. The angry protestors held a strong protest against the administration and demanded immediate removal of policies which were against the locals of the area. The protestors raised slogans in support of their demands and sought an end to contractor system and called upon the executing agencies to appoint the locals as well as the land loosers without any further delay.
Speaking to Young bites, the people said that they are protesting peacefully demanding job for poor people of the area and alleged that AFCON company has sold the project into the hands of administration, who are hand in glove with the company to suppress the aspiration of the local and unemployed youths. Meanwhile PDP leaders including MLC Firdous Tak,Umar Malik, Wasil Doolwal and others threatened dire consequences and mass agitation against Company management for not entertaining the local contractors, engineers and unemployed youth.
