In J&K, for ameliorating the agriculture practising it is requisite to make a shift from traditional agriculture practice to modern agriculture practice with technology intervention which would automatically boost the productivity, while it has become a major demand for better farming practices, as it entails to contribute he domestic GDP of the country immensely.
However, agriculture plays a key role in the socioeconomic augmentation of the country, but there is a steady decline in agriculture’s contribution to the country’s GPD, as there is lack of a compre

hensive perspective plan to implement the all governmental farming schemes at the ground level. While besides that agriculture is the biggest industry in the country.
In the state, the better collaboration between growers and horticulture department for better farming is missing; there have been continuous failure to conduct awareness camps in the nook and corner of the state.
Notably, there has been fall in census status of fruit-bearing plants across the state, which includes fruit-bearing plants of Mango, Plum, Walnut Apple, Apricot, Cherry and various other citrus fruits, the Horticulture Department has to undertake it as a serious concern
There is a delay in modalities for the endorsement and development of crop in Pirpanchal region. The unchecked misbranded pesticides have added on to the problems of farmers in the various areas of the state. The stringent action should be taken against the owner of the outlet where misbranded pesticides are found, so that poor farmer was not be misled.
Remarkably it is for the state government to conducts various mass awareness camps for growers at zonal as well as district level in collaboration with J&K Bank, SKUAST and Tourism Department to make farmers aware of modern agricultural technology. Thus, agriculture, which is the backbone of human existence, get the endorsement with modern agriculture technologies, as it would significantly contribute to the domestic GDP.
