Despite launching numerous drives to aware the people about to follow the traffic rules and park their vehicles at appropriate places, the people of Jammu failed to learn anything and still continue to park their vehicles on the roads.
They never bothered about the problems which are being faced by the other people, when they park their vehicles on the roads.
This type of the situation is prevailing daily on the Gandhi Nagar road outside the convent school, the large number of commuters, who used to visit here to pick up their wards parked their vehicles on the roads. A long queue could be seen on the time when the kids are coming out of the school. But none bothers and habitual people continue to harm the others, who have to face many problems due to this unending queue of vehicles.
“This is very shameful that the senior police officers many times, visit here and appealed the people not to create unnecessary traffic jam here by parking their vehicles on the road side, if necessary then they can park their vehicles in single lane. But all in vain, after following the norms fixed by the traffic authorities, none is here to follow those norms and the view is very surprising. The commuters create three lanes and it become very difficult for the other peoples who used to pass through this stretch and have to wait for hours so that the jam is cleared after people pickup their wards,” said Ram Lal Sharma, local in the area.
“The people are Jammu are habitual to create the traffic jams after parking their vehicles anywhere, they never bothered about the problems which has been created by their unorganized parked vehicle. This is the not the duty of police or traffic department to aware them about to park their vehicle in good manner, this is their duty to park their vehicles at the place, where others should be avoid to face any difficulty and this would also help to maintain the smooth flow of the traffic in the area,” said Mithali Sharma, another lady from the local area.
She further appealed the people to follow the traffic norms and park their vehicles in single lane, so that other vehicles continue to ply smoothly and people should avid to face any difficulties, while passing through this stretch.
