CHANDU CROSSED LOC AFTER SURGICAL STRIKES

VIKAS SHARMA Jammu, May 22 Fighter Chandu Babulal Chavan, who had "unintentionally" strayed over the Line of Control (LoC) in 2016 after the careful strikes and spent almost four months in imprisonment in Pakistan, has looked for untimely retirement. Chavan, 24, who was admitted to the psychiatry ward in Military Hospital at Kirkee here, has composed a letter to his seniors asking for them to alleviate him from benefit, saying he is "exasperate". The warrior, from 37 Rashtriya Rifles, had disappeared on September 29, 2016 after he "incidentally" crossed the LoC, following which the Pakistan Army had arrested him. He was given over to the Indian Army four months after the fact. Subsequent to returning, Chavan, who hails from Dhule area, confronted a sentence for leaving his post without educating his seniors and was later exchanged to the Armed Corps Center at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. Chavan, who was released from the healing facility yesterday, said he was looking for retirement as he seemed to be "bothered after whatever transpired over the most recent two years". As per the subject he mentioned in his letter to the senior army officials, said, “I have kept in touch with my seniors and asked for them to rashly release me from my obligations and give me annuity."
Chavan said the Army gave him all conceivable help and he had no protests.
A Southern Command officer, in any case, said they have not gotten any letter from Chavan.
"We are yet to know the reality as no letter from him has been got till this point," the officer said.
Indian Army Special Forces had directed a Surgical Strikes along LoC on September 29, 2016, and had caused extreme harm on Pakistani Terrorist furnish Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
