Sunaina Sharma a young lady who is energetic and wants to work for the people talks about her journey so far. Sunaina did her schooling from MHAC Nagbani. She did her graduation from Parade College and then her Post graduation from Jammu University.
During her PG she got selected as Intelligence Officer, but she never lost her focus to join civil services. Finally in 2004 she cleared KAS exams. Her prime focus was to serve people. She thanks God for making her what she wanted to become from her childhood.
Talking about challenges which she faced, she admits that she had faced the social pressure to get married at early age. She comes from a remote area of Jhiri Kanachak, where the society and people are conservative. People of remote areas feel that for girl marriage is more important than career. But due to constant support from her parents, she remained focused towards her studies. She was shifted to city to pursue her studies. She says that if parents trust their children, then they can achieve their goal. She says that society has changed a lot. The girl child is being welcome by the families. Her parents have remained a constant support towards her achieving her goals. She has been quiet satisfied with her job. She feels that if God has given her the opportunity to help the people then she should give her 100 % towards her duty.
Number of programs have been launched by JMC and govt towards beautification of city. But she says that to beautify the city people need to think smart. There are many projects by the govt. but equal contribution is required from the people. People encroach the roads which is not good. Shopkeepers have encroached the roads beyond the shutter lines. These things hamper he beautification. People should inculcate civic sense. There should not be any need of notices if they follow the rules and regulations properly.
She talked about “Clean Jammu green Jammu” initiative by PWWA, JMVC and other organizations, whose basic motive is to make the people aware of cleanliness. She feels that rules are made but the problem comes in its implementation.
She says that working ladies have to be careful towards their job as well as families. She feels that families need to be supportive. She feels lucky to have a supportive husband and caring children. She gives full credit to her parents for her success in life, then her husband who motivates her to do good job and work for society.
Message towards society, “ Every child has a hidden talent, every parent should give full opportunity to their children to come forward and support the dreams of their children. Every child has a hidden diamond within and if not given opportunity that diamond remains stone”
