Sports council failed to check unethical activities by some unregistered sports associations

It is a known fact that simple solution for the impulsive child is physical and sports activities. In the present scenario sports activities are considered to be integral part of education system and likewise several schools are showing keen interest and motivating the students for participating in various school sports events.
To carry on sports activities several schools are affiliated to various sports bodies and students are joining these sports bodies without knowing the fact if these sports bodies and clubs are registered or unregistered. As such these unregistered sports bodies are playing with the future of students and participants.
The School authorities and the state authorities have turned blind eye towards these unregistered sports bodies and associations. These sports association which have no locus stand are conducting various events by charging heft amounts in lieu with schools. Various private schools are their soft targets as several sports bodies are not only conducting various competitions but also providing the certificates to the participants. The certificates issued by several unregistered sports bodies have no relevance and they are fooling the school students by charging hefty amount.
As per the date there are several sports association whose registration is pending and their affiliation is either pending or have not applied for affiliation as these sports bodies failed to meet the required criteria.
Despite of non affiliation several sports associations are conducting various events specially in Martial Art and its allied activities and are not receiving any grant. Not only this these associations are charging hefty amount from the school students.
There are about fifty associations which stand affiliated with the J&K State Sports Council and nearly thirty which are not affiliated. The grants are being issued only to affiliated sports bodies for carrying out various sports activities at School, State levels.
Talking to Young Bites Correspondent parents allege that we are ignorant about the unregistered sports bodies and every time there is a event, school authorities ask the students to pay hefty amount either for participation or for various belt grading competitions.
They further added that on the one hand Union government has taken several measures like Khelo India and providing scholarships to the participants to promote the sports activities across the country where as in our state these unregistered sports bodies are looting the parents by charging hefty amount.
The authorities should take stern action on these un registered sports bodies and every school should be notified to conduct sports events only with those sports bodies which are affiliated and have relevant affiliation.
With no serious initiatives being taken by the government to tighten the noose around unrecognised sports associations, the educational institutes are now becoming their new target as these sports bodies are holding competitions and providing certificates to students which hold no relevance.
