The limited ability of the government and no private sector has caused unemployment which is touching new heights in Jammu and Kashmir.
Whereas instead of sitting at home depressed, the youth should approach toward entrepreneurship which may be one of the best solutions to this problem, as it has seen a significant rise in our state.
The resourceful state offers remarkable opportunities to the local youth who aspire to become entrepreneurs.
Remarkably, once the late CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had termed the J&K as a delight for entrepreneurs, mountaineers & trekkers, and said the government would plan to showcase the wealth of unexplored peaks in the state by making them accessible to adventure lovers from the country and abroad.
However, the government should undertake necessary reforms for encouraging entrepreneurs to come and invest in the state.
Particularly in Jammu, the Bari Brahmana has been emerging as a hub of industrial activities which can offer more opportunities for entrepreneurship. While government kick-started construction works at SIDCO with cost worth Rs. 28 lakh, which might be proved a good initiative for the convenience of the people.
Notably, it is for the state government to create industry-friendly atmosphere without compromising the ecological and environmental aspect of sustainable development. As the sustainable development is the organizing principle for meeting human development goals while at the same time sustaining the ability of natural systems to provide the natural resources and ecosystem services upon which the economy and society depend, and same should be the motto of the government.
Pertinently, the state government has to provide tranquil access to services for encouraging entrepreneurial spirit of local, domestic and international investors towards taking up industrial ventures in the state as a preferred investment destination.
