DDC Shopian reviews functioning of educational institutions

SHOPIAN, APRIL 10: - District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Gazanfar Ali today convened a meeting for the smooth functioning of education institutes in the district at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Parvaiz Sajad Ganie, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer, Principals of the Degree College, Higher Secondary Schools, Zonal Education Officers, and Headmasters of the High and Middle schools of the district. During the meeting, participants apprised the DDC regarding various issues facing by the education institutes including lack of infrastructure, fencing and other requirements.

Further, it was suggested that in order to bring the all-round development of the students, they should be engaged in different activities which among others include Quiz Competitions, Debates, Symposiums, Paintings, nurturing the culture of innovation, sports activities, and other activities.

On the occasion, DDC said that Education is a powerful tool that empowers people to achieve great results and no individual or nation can prosper without knowledge.

Gazanfar Ali said that Development in society is only possible by achieving education and it is the responsibility to create the educational environment in institutions. He said that District administration will support all educational institutions at any level.
