With the talent of young girls in different fields hogging the limelight and headlines every other day and a lady itself heading the state one can easily consider the freedom of women in our state, however, there are still some other stories behind the curtains of our sensitive society both on political and on social fronts as well. One similar story is of the senior prosecuting Officer, Sunita Kangorta, who may be the best example for all the women folk in our state.
The debate over the topics like freedom of women and gender justice are fruitless till we give equal rights to women in our society. Every year on the eve of International Women's Day there is a trend of organizing seminars, symposiums, debates etc on this particular day is not limited.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the young bites found suitable to bring the story of Sunita which has dominated a significant place on the internet these days.
She joined the JK police service as CPO (Inspector) in 1995. She received DGP commendation certificate and cash reward for securing merit in training at SKPA, Udhampur.
She notified as Member JK police Gazetted service (KPS) vide SRO 317 of 2002.
She is recipient of DGP J&K Medal in 2005, recipient of Young Women achievers award in 2015.
She remained posted at District courts, Udhampur, State Crime Branch, CPO DPO Jammu and is posted as CPO RPHQ, JSK Range Jammu.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, she was felicitated by Er Abha Gupta, Associate Editor, Young Bites.
