VS: Tell our readers about yourself?
VP: I am a small worker of BJP in state and also a member of state working committee. At present I am a member of Hindi Advisory Board and is providing my services to the government of India.
VS: What is function of Hindi Advisory Board in our state as well as in our country?
VP: As being a member of this board, it is my duty to popularize the Hindi language in our society as well as in the government offices of our country.
This board is working under the ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) is a Government of India ministry, established in September 2001, which functions as the nodal Department of the Central Government to deal with matters related to the socio-economic development of the eight States of Northeast India, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
It acts as a facilitator between the Central Ministries/ Departments and the State Governments of the North Eastern Region in the economic development including removal of infrastructural bottlenecks, provision of basic minimum services, creating an environment for private investment and to remove impediments to lasting peace and security in the North Eastern Region.
The current, Minister of Development of North Eastern Region is Jitendra Singh (Minister of state, Independent Charge), he is looking after this board.
VS: As being a member, what is your work?
VP: As being a members of this board, it is my duty to monitor the use of Hindi in official work in the Ministry of Home Affairs closely, Official Language Implementation Committee have been set up at the Divisional Levels from the Golden Jubilee year and their periodical meetings are being held.
Meanwhile, time to time, other programmes being organized during this period includes competition on Hindi essay/Hindi typing/Hindi stenography and Hindi vayavhar Pratiyogita, lectures of Hindi scholars and awarding of official language shield to Attached/Subordinate offices.
