CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday sought personal intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to defer KAS 2016 Mains exams by a couple of weeks.

While speaking during the concluding ceremony of the budget session, Tarigami said that the candidates are in a state of distress due to the decision of Public Service Commission (PSC) to hold exams as per already notified schedule.

“The candidates are knocking on all doors and want deferment of exams. Kindly help them and defer the exams by some time,” he said.

PSC has decided to conduct KAS 2016 Mains exams on February 15. However, the candidates are demanding postponement of the exams in view of prevailing weather conditions in Kashmir.
