8 Private Members’ Bills introduced in LA 3 introduced, 4 rejected, 1 withdrawn

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 06: Eight Private Members’ Bills were introduced in the Legislative Assembly today.
While 4 bills were rejected by the House, one bill was withdrawn and three were introduced.
Bashir Ahmad Dar moved the Bill “To amend the Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Act, 1960 (LA Private Members’ Bill No. 24 of 2018)” in the Legislative Assembly today. The Bill was rejected by the House.
MLA Bashir Ahmed Dar also moved “A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Members’ Pension Act, 1984 (LA Private Members’ Bill No. 25 of 2018)” and with amendment in Section 3 and Amendment in Section 3-B in the Legislative Assembly today.
The Bill was introduced alongwith amendments.
Dar also moved “The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Amendment) Bill, 2016 (L.A. Private Members’ Bill No. 6 of 2016)” in the House and after thorough discussion, the MLA Bashir Ahmad Dar withdrew the Bill.
The legislator also moved “A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act, 2009 (L.A. Private Members’ Bill No. 7 of 2016)” in the Legislative Assembly which was also rejected by the House.
Ranbir Singh Pathania moved four Bills in the House. These included “A Bill to provide for the better management, administration and governance of Shri Chandi Mata Machail Dham (Machail Yatra) for up gradation of facilities for holy pilgrimage and matters connected therewith right from Bhaderwah enroute Machail i.e, Bhaderwah, Pul Doda, Premnagar, Thathri, Kishtwar, Gulabgarh, Paddar etc and its endowments including the lands and buildings attached, or appurtenant, to the shrines and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. (L.A. Private Members’ Bill No. 8 of 2016), “A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Consumer Protection Act, 1987 (L.A Private Members’ Bill No. 9 of 2016)”,
“A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989 (L.A Private Members’ Bill No. 10 of 2016)” and “A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission Act, 2002 (L.A Private Members’ Bill No. 11 of 2016)”.
The House introduced Bill No 9 and Bill No 10 while Bill No 8 and Bill No 11 were rejected after thorough discussions.
