of Talk Show YoungBites correspondent Vikas Gupta interacted with Yash Paul Kundal, Ex- MLA and Senior Leader, J&K National Panthers Party. Here are the excerpts:
VG: Panthers Party demand to make Jammu an independent state is long pending, what is your say on this?
YK: Panthers Party demands that Jammu should be a separate state. We want justice for the people of Jammu. We did ‘gherao’ of Secretariat on November 6th in which 30-35 thousand people participated. Inspite of the fact that BJP has its own 25 MLA’s , it has not met the expectations of people.
VG: Whenever Public Service Commission lists of selected candidates are out for various posts, only 20 % candidates of Jammu are selected, rest 80% are selected from Kashmir, what do you think that the people of Jammu are less literate?
YK: This kind of scenario is going on from years, PSC works as per PDP-BJP govt. directions.
VG: What do you have to say on Article 35 A and 370?
YK: Earlier the BJP party demanded that the Article 370 should be abolished in J&K,, but now they say that the Article 35 A should remain intact.
VG: Can the JKNPP form govt. in J&K in future?
YK: We are trying our best to contest election in every constituency. Public in large is in our side. This was shown on the November 6th during Jammu Bandh where a huge number supported us.
VG: You were Ex MLA from Samba constituency, you must be aware of the ground realities of the border areas, what facilities have been provided by BJP Govt for the people living in border areas?
YK: First of all BJP govt. had promised to give 5 marla plot and one person recruited in Indian Army, but all the tall claims stand null till date, they have not been able to provide bunkers to the people living in border areas.
