Changing dynamics of demographic pattern in Jammu!

Beggary has become a lucrative profession who are wheeling into Jammu!

It was not this did not happen before but when the city of Jammu was not over crowded as it is now the pattern of demographics has changed rapidly.
Almost all the posh areas have been intruded by the less privileged who cannot do anything but spread their one hand in front anyone and everyone fro a coin or may be a few coins more. The men with beards and saffron lining up in front of almost every temple in Jammu to collect alms and have some food to eat is a testimony to the fact. They began it and the rest followed suit. Now it is a one way traffic and mind you among these beggars, ladies with children in arms and juveniles too are there. In Gandhinagar almost in front of every eatery they are lined up with their arms stretched. It is nice that people do shed out some money and give them food too but at times it is a nuisance.
The juveniles place is in school or juvenile homes and not on streets bare footed. In Gandhinagar, Trikuta Nagar, Trikutanagar extension, Bahu fort, Katra, Bhatindi, Narwal, main city Jammu they can be seen in abundance. They today are not a security risk as such but who knows what happens tomorrow. The menace of beggary in Jammu has grown out of proportions. Honestly speaking with a great strategy. They can be found on each and every major roundels of the city right through the length and breadth of Jammu. They cannot do it all alone when they are in a city which is alien to them. There has to be someone guiding them. The population of beggars has increased manifold and they have come with new tricks up their sleeve.
The fact is that Jammu has to some extent improved economically since the lands are being sold or rather have been sold and Jammu is expanding again as I said all along length and breadth. In years to come Jammu and the interiors (hinterland is all going to get filled up). The money in hand is nice but what about the future. The people playing all trumps now are ridiculously out of their minds. With a few dollars more in their pockets they would have to relinquish the idea that where ever they are would not be in focus of the elites who were originally from Jammu (I could have soared up with examples but I will not since no one reads and no one watches). Their future generations may just land up in the zone of aborigines. Bad idea but if you read through the history of the world it has happened!
Our own kids may find it difficult to find admissions in our own schools and colleges. I have mentioned it many a times before that one has to somehow or the other manufacture money and he has to it all alone by hard way and not easy. But where we are losing out is on the fact that we the people of Jammu have lived through lines of least resistance. But it is time shed the inhibition as the invasion of the aliens are coming in gushing waves. Every second character whether begging or landing on Jammu railway station or bus stand is different every day! See the flyovers at different cities adjacent to Jammu in other states, you will find no one sleeping under them. But here near bus stand things are different. These people come in the nights and disappear no sooner the first rays of sun arrive. The pity is that no one is looking at the future. It is present that counts for every one and that too in a grand stand way. Development equation is all fine, big words being used by great orators and writers are all fine but we in Jammu still have not realized as to where we are heading towards! I have seen it all change in last fifty years (Katra being one of them to begin with). More will come in but no will be there to tell a story!
