Amid humid conditions the officials of power department continue to haunt people by imposing huge power cuts forcing the people of came out on the roads to hold the protest.
Pertinent to mention here that just few days ago, Deputy Nirmal Singh, who is also the Minister for Power, instructed the officials of PDD not to impose prolong power cuts and assured the people that it is his duty to provide regular power supply but with short power cuts.
“Despite his assurance, the officials of PDD failed to provide any respite to the people, when the humidity is crossing its limits and has made the lives of people like hell,” said Manohar Sharma, a resident of New Plots and added that we have no other option rather to stage protest on the roads as none is here to listen our grievances
“This is very shameful that our elected ministers and MLAs are least bothered about our grievances and after leaving us in such humid conditions, they never used to visit us to listen our complaints. Most surprising is this the local MLA never used to visit the protesting people which makes us more anguished and we are also protesting against his rude behavior,” said Manish Singh Jamwal, another resident of Janipur area.
“We are struggling badly due to prolong power cuts, due to which the PHE department also snapped the water supply and claimed that due to no power, they cannot supply the drinking water in the area. Without the power and drinking water it is very difficult, but none is bothered about our problems and the ministers as well as the MLA is enjoying in their houses. Whenever we go to meet them they assured us and asked us to go back to our houses and do not protest on the roads, but none has been done in this regard, as the power woes has been continued since more than three months,” asserts Vinood Kumar, a trader in the Janipur area.
“We just wanted to appeal our MLA to solve this crisis earliest so that we can also enjoy our life in our house not on the roads,” Vinood maintained.
