People in Jammu are encountering scheduled unscheduled power cuts in the humid condition from quite a couple of months. The unfavorable and unscheduled power blackouts have left individuals outraged and disturbed.
Grumblings about burning of transformers are apparently on increase visit attributable to the deplorable humid summer season. Old city as well as adjoining areas in Jammu circle are whining about power cuts and are increased power cuts.
It is believed that the behind power cuts are low quality wires with loose connection resulting into sparking in case of heavy load and afterward burn while taking burden for couple of hours. The loose links cause control issues as well as turn into an explanation behind significant increase in damaging of transformers in several localities most often.
In most of the areas in city as well as rural, replacing damaged transformers with new transformers is delayed due to lethargic approach or by some unjustified reasons by the concerned department as such people lost much expectation several times for early solution to long power cuts.
Talking to Young Bites the agitated people said that every year power blackouts are frequent after secretariat has been moved and they have to fight the heat as well as humid condition with delayed in long poer cuts.
Talking to Young Bites Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh said that power scenario in Jammu is not up to the mark and people are struggling baldy due to unregulated power supply and to come over from these complaints, I have ordered constitution of Quick Response Teams (QRT) to address the public complaints regarding power supply.
Meanwhile, I have also inspected various Receiving Stations in Jammu during the past days and paid surprise visit to Receiving Stations at Top Sherkhania, Muthi, Janipur.
President of several areas allege that at the time of election hoax promises were to made to provide 24hrs electricity and frequently visit their constituency but with the moving of secretariat to Kashmir they are least bothered about the problems we face as the majority of them are enjoying in the valley so there is not really anybody whom they can approach.
Aside from that, students are the most sufferers to get them prepared for various examinations but their grievances remain unattended. The conditions in urban and rural areas are miserable regardless of paying robust bills; there is no affirmation of light. Tragically, even completely metered zones are enduring this season.
