Despite release of funds and hike in expenditure, the agriculture and allied sectors are yet unable to achieve desirable results under state and centrally sponsored development programmes, which witnesses the non implementation of all the taken decisions in timely convention.
However, there are reports of delay in execution of works specially roads in various districts of the State which demands strict action against the concerned Executive Engineers.
Whereas, climate resilient projects in Jammu & Kashmir have become a desideratum, but until people’s aspirations is the priority of the Government, it is difficult to achieve the constructive result. Notably, it requires that officers are directed to submit the status report/DPRs of the works listed by the local legislators, in regard of which they need to be cautioned against any laxity.
For the fascinating development of all regions and block the development departments have to put in extra efforts for judicious and effective utilization of funds and removing bottlenecks hindering developmental works.
It is only the expeditious execution by concerned officials which can extend the desired benefits to the people.
Not keeping a strict check on quality of works lead to flimsy assets which cannot cater to the area specific development needs. Thus effort should be made to create durable assets. However, there is need to achieve optimum results for development of core sectors in the district, with particular focus on agriculture and its allied sectors. While, departments like handloom and handicrafts needs greater attention to explore more possibilities for bred & butter for the common man.
Pertinently, across the State in all district there need for paying focused attention on the improvement of road connectivity, augmentation of drinking water, power supply, education and healthcare facilities equally.
