Laggard disposal of cases in Social Welfare Deptt become bewilderment

Social Welfare Department, which has to be influential for removing the distress of weaker sections through amelioration and anti-poverty measures, have been tormenting with slow disposal of the cases under diverse welfare schemes being carried out by the department which includes widow, old age, handicapped, marriage assistance scheme and other many more schemes of the different agencies in J&K.
Besides that there are demands of clearing the long pending liabilities with respect to providing widow pension as per the rate of Rs 1000 as per government order issued last year.
Notably, Social Welfare Department play a very important role toward welfare State, but delay in addressing problems of weaker sections of the society, Like Old Age Persons, Women in Distress, Physically Challenged People, Mal-Nourished children Lactating and expecting women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and other Economically Weaker Sections of the Society witnesses inefficiency of concerned authorities which demands government attention to align the functioning of concerned department.
Amid this there is need of Juvenile Home in the state with good facilities and strengthen functioning, as overall functioning of this department includes schemes.
It is for the State Government that all handicapped, widow and old age pension cases which are lying pending in the department should be cleared on priority basis so that the needy people of the state could get benefited from the schemes launched by the state and central government for the welfare of the deserving people of the state.
Moreover, the concerned authorities need to take indispensable steps to create wakefulness among the people of the state about various state and central sponsored welfare schemes carried out by the department so that commendable citizens can gain the
