1) INDIA HAS THE HIGHEST BATTLEFIELD IN THE WORLD

This is an amazing fact that made Indian Army way different from others. Siachen Glacier, a battlefield situated at 5000 meters above Mean Sea Level (MSL) is being controlled by the Indian Army.This is the most crucial strategic points for the country.


2) INDIA HAS THE LARGEST VOLUNTEER ARMY IN THE WORLD

In India, it is not compulsory to join Army once in your life. Soldiers are appointed based on their application. This fact makes Indian Army stand out different in the world.


3) INDIAN ARMY HAS THE BEST SOLDIERS IN HIGH ALTITUDE AND MOUNTAIN WARFARE

You may get surprised after knowing that the Indian Army’s High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) is one of the most elite military training schools in the world. Every year super power countries send their special operations teams at this training center to make them learn how to fight in wars in mountain and high-altitude zones.


4) IN 1971 WAR JUST 120 INDIAN ARMY SOLDIERS DEFEATED 2000 PAKISTANI SOLDIERS

Just 120 Indian soldiers defeated a grand brigade of 2000 Pakistani soldiers who were backed by 45 tanks and 1 mobile infantry platoon in the Battle of Longewala fought in December 1971 between India and Pakistan. And for your shock, there were only two casualties on the Indian side. Salute!

8) THE HIGHEST BRIDGE IN THE WORLD WAS BUILT BY THE INDIAN ARMY

The Baily Bridge is the highest bridge in the world, located in the Ladakh valley between the Dras and Suru rivers in the Himalayas. It was constructed by the Indian Army in 1982.
