Alcoholism and Highways If orders are there from SC, then why are they not being followed in J&K?

Drinking while driving leads to an ultimate disaster. Add to this add drugs and then the results can be devastating. It is not that it will hurt you but it will hurt your friends too. Drunken drivers have been a cause of many a road accidents on Jammu and Kashmir National Highways as elsewhere in the country and even on roads.
With music blaring with heart and brain enjoying on the same rhythm the limbs tend to also keep up with the same rhythm. This is where the devastating effect happens and the results we all know.
Jammu is connected to Pathankot where the Highway is very good but Liquor shops spoil the mood. The recent one that did was at Vijaypur a couple of months back, then there is one from Jammu to Udhampur, then there is one from Udhampur to Batote, Then from Batote to Srinagar, Then from Bhaderwah to Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar. All have liquor shops in the area!
The Supreme Court Order is very clear in its orders that liquor shops on the Highways would be banished. And even if they exist they should be at-least at a distance of half a mile from the Highway. This was a right step taken in a right decision. ‘Walk half a mile and make the best out of walking back half a mile’. Jammu ad Kashmir alcohol industry fetches perhaps the max value. It is fine but the problem is that the end result has to death or sudden death.
Even doctors do prescribe alcohol for treatment of certain diseases but they will mention that excessive alcohol is dangerous for health. It is dangerous because it stupefies you. It is the heart who pumps harder and the brain gets over functional. One thinks he is not on ground but he/she is not. In stupor one will find him or herself in a different world and trust me the morning coming in is the worst of all.
In Jammu and Kashmir also the Government should take cognizance of the same and ensure that the on the Highways at least the Bars and the liquor shops should be shut down. This will lead to lesser accidents, lesser lost of precious lives and lesser nuisance. The people should also walk the distance but remember one thing in a phrase, ‘its nice to have alcohl till you drink it initially but when it starts eating you like a termite inside your body it can be ridiculously devastating. Many have died in accidents because of the fault of drivers under the stupefying affect of Bacchus’s potion (The Roman God who always remained drunk) and many more will if this contagious virus has to be contained. The first step is to stop and clean bar the wine shops and liquor bars on the Highway. Okay if the sellers are suffering then they get into 600 hundreds meters away. But the problem is that none of the household members want that someone from their family is into the fellowship of drinking and then coming back home and fighting for nothing at home for all the wrong reasons. It does happen in almost all the households in the vicinity of Highways.
