Mo-Bike is basically a slang that is used for motor cycle riding and winding your way through the bustling and snarling traffic. The youngsters often love assuming it exciting as well as thrilling. Even if you are late by a few minutes one thinks that the time can be made up since everyone has a notion that he is an expert at driving.
Scotties which are trendy now a days and one can see minor under the age of eighteen are riding the same two wheeler and mothers pester their husbands to make sure that as and when their child crosses class of ten he or she needs a two wheelers though studies have no concern with riding double seated with or without a helmet.
Now a question here arises is who is right and who is wrong. Now a days time management plays a important role and the minor always want to compete with their friends, If one has a two wheeler then why should not I have is the question. The parents have no reply here but it is the mother who sides with the children. Though beautiful transportation facilities are available in all the known schools within Jammu with yellow colored buses yet the fact is that the children want their own transport. The parents give in and the next destination is the show room of two wheelers who are more than eager waiting for children to come with their parents to buy an elderly toy!
Bike riding is all fun and the but if under age and without valid license they are simply putting a question mark to the traffic rules. One rule they definitely follow is wearing the helmet. With helmet the cops in blue are bound to stop them. Paying off some cash ditched in by the back seat in case the helmet is not there is a common thing.
Most often the men in blue let them go with a word of caution that do it your own way but better wear a helmet. By the way how many two wheelers with or without helmet they check. Just a few! Triple riding is bad but we can see even four on the roads with a child sitting on the oil tank.
Girls need a scooty so that they can scoot faster. ‘Why can boys only have fun’ is the bottom line. But while watching this advertisement on the idiot box the girls tend to forget the super actress is wearing a helmet. Excuses like, ‘we are in a hurry’, ‘my parents will feel bad’ etc…etc are fine. The tear jerks from girls do tend to move the men in blues but they at that time do not realize that they are failing in their duty. Money is not a check but rules can keep the two wheeler riders in check.
Now who is responsible? First it is the minor off the blocks who win over and persuade their parents to buy a two wheelers for them. The next are the children who are after their parents to get them one at any cost, the next are the show room owners who want to sell their product notwithstanding the fact as to what exact is the age of the child (wearing a helmet does not increase the age in any case) and lastly are the traffic cops, they see, they know, they stop them and yet let them go. Infact two wheelers in the hands of teenager is dreadful idea until and unless one has proper driving license.
Traffic police is doing a great job but the greater one would be to make sure that traffic rules and regulations are drilled into heart and minds of the rider especially those who are underage to have driving licensee and the drive the two wheelers with driven enjoyment. And parents realize the fact that two wheelers are dangerous in fact very and can be fatal too!
