Pakistan has made all forward operating bases of its Air Force operational, media reports said on Wednesday. The reports said that Pak measure has come after claims and counter claims of both New Delhi and Islamabad about the border actions of their troops.

Pakistan has made all forward operating bases of its Air Force operational in response of threats from Indian air chief.Chief of Pakistan Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Wednesday during his visit to the forward airbases at Siachan, where fighter jet squadrons held war exercises, reported The News International.

The PAF jets flew near Siachin during the exercises as it showed expertise and readiness for war on ‘short notice’.

The Air Chief also took part in the exercise and flew Meraj fighting himself.

India air chief BS Dhanoa, in a personnel letter signed on march 30, had asked his 12,000 officers to be prepared for operations at “very short notice”, the report said.

According to India media, Dhanoa’s personal letter has given rise to speculation about the current security situation, and was seen against the worsening situation in Indian held Kashmir and along the Pak-India border.

Speaking to the media at Qadri airbase in Skardu following witnessing the exercises, Sohail Aman said no situation is difficult for the PAF. “The nation should not worry about the enemy’s statements,” he said, adding “We are peace loving people but are ready to face all kinds of challenges.”

Air Chief Sohail Aman emphatically stated that Pakistan will give a befitting response to any misadventure from the enemy.

“Our response to any Indian aggression will be remembered by their coming generations,” he stated.

Terming the JF-17 fighter jet as the ‘pride of Pakistan’, he said its most significant aspect is that it is made in Pakistan.

He said PAF is fully prepared and capable to defend the frontiers of the country.
